00:00Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet visited the Philippines to strengthen the relationship between the Philippines and Cambodia,

00:06particularly in the fight for economy, peace, and regional stability.

00:11Here are the details of the national news report of PTB Manila.

00:17The Philippines and Cambodia have strengthened the relationship in the fight for economy, peace, and regional stability.

00:28Following the first official visit of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet to Malacanang,

00:34President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Arneta Marcos,

00:40and several government officials welcomed the Prime Minister and his delegation.

00:45This was followed by a bilateral meeting that resulted in eight agreements,

00:49including collaboration on agriculture, exchange of knowledge on digital transformation,

00:56cooperation on tourism, division of best practices in housing, and fair trade,

01:08avoidance of double demand for food, and prohibition of illegal travel to cultural properties.

01:16We can maximize our existing cooperation on diverse fields of mutual interest

01:21and explore new ways to collaborate while leveraging our growing economies,

01:27the dynamism of our people, and our unyielding commitment to regional peace and stability.

01:34Allow me to reiterate our enthusiasm to welcome more Cambodians to the Philippines

01:39as tourists, as investors, as business partners, and as trusted neighbors and friends.

01:45Our cooperation spans across multiple sectors, from defense and security to trade,

01:51investment economy, and people-to-people exchanges.

01:54We are keen on taking our collaborations to new heights.

01:58President Marcos thanked Cambodia for giving royal pardons to 13 Filipino surrogates

02:05and for helping them.

02:08We will never forget this act of magnanimity from His Majesty,

02:13a testament to the strong relations between our two countries.

02:17Rest assured, we will continue to stand with you in the fight against transnational crimes

02:23and their adverse effects on our peoples and on our communities.

02:47especially when it comes to humanitarian assistance and helping those affected by the pandemic.
