00:09A new visa system in the UAE that will extend the residency period for widows, divorcees
00:14and their children without a sponsor will come into effect from Sunday.
00:18The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship said visits and tourist visas will also be
00:23extended without the need to leave the country.
00:26Divorces or dependents who are 18 years old will get one-year visas which will be extendable
00:31for one more year.
00:33Hindu hardliners blocked intersections, threatened drivers and ordered a 12-hour strike today
00:38as they stepped up their campaign to bar women from one of India's holiest temples.
00:43The Lord Ayyappa Temple at Sabarimala in the southern state of Kerala was meant to allow
00:47women from Wednesday, but hundreds of hardliners throwing stones at baton-wielding police defied
00:53the order.
00:54Three young men also surrounded and smashed the car windows of women television reporters
00:59and threatened others.
01:00Michael Bublé is shutting down rumours that he's going to retire from music, saying he
01:05was misquoted in a recent interview.
01:07Bublé said he is not planning on retiring anytime soon.
01:10He disputed an October 13th interview in the Daily Mail that said he would quit music after
01:15the release of his upcoming album, Love, due November 16th.
