00:00We were able to immerse ourselves. We had enough time to really prepare for the roles.
00:07So I was able to immerse myself in UP Diliman. I got to sit down in one class.
00:12I got to interview some students and a teacher, art studies majors.
00:18We really study our characters well, that we read about.
00:22Because my character is an art studies major, so she asked me to read about arts.
00:27So that when I talk about it in the film, it seems more authentic.
00:31It's as if I really know what I'm talking about.
00:34Because prior to that, I really didn't have much of a background on arts.
00:38At the same time, she also asked me to really practice my Tagalog.
00:42Because being a UP Diliman student, they mostly speak in Tagalog.
00:47And they're very proud of their culture.
00:49So those are some of the things that I really had to focus on.
00:53I had to interview some doctors at the barrios.
00:55I was able to interview some and had an immersion in some of the hospitals in Manila.
01:01Some of the local hospitals there.
01:03There are a lot of lessons that can be learned from the film.
01:06I think that's one of the most important things for movie makers.
01:10Is that when they create a film, they should be able to use their platform to say something more than just the art.
01:18I mean, it's okay if it's purely for the art.
01:21But I think it's also great that we take advantage of what we're doing.
01:26And we're able to voice out things that happen to people every day.
01:31And that we're able to help people cope with what they're struggling with.
01:36Or just be an inspiration of some sort.
01:41I think this movie is a lot for the dreamers.
01:44And I believe that a lot of the people who really migrate here to come to work here are a lot of the dreamers in the Philippines.
01:52And they want to become somebody in the future.
01:55They want to fulfill their dreams.
01:58And I think this movie is really perfect.
02:00We believe that other ethnicities should watch our film as well.
02:06Because anybody can relate to it.
02:11It's more about memories, dreams, who you want to be, who you should be, who you wanted but maybe it didn't happen.
02:20You know, it's really for everybody.
02:22It's really a general movie for everybody.
02:24And I feel like the Philippine movie makers now, and the actors, we have so much potential.
02:30That other markets should be able to witness it as well.
02:34Because like us, we watch American films.
02:36I think that we have the same talent that they have that other markets should watch as well.
02:44And yeah, we're just excited for that new beginning for the Philippines.
02:49Yeah, and we can give them a taste of a little Filipino culture.
02:54So I think that's why they should watch it.
