00:00No, you didn't hear me bring you down.
00:02Friends, oh, car friends, oh, car friends.
00:06I fed them, but that was all part of my plan.
00:09Can we just start by singing, he's the best around.
00:13No, you didn't hear me bring you down.
00:16Yeah, you know what?
00:17That is instant introduction.
00:19I feel great.
00:20You're the winner.
00:21Oh my god, we're talking about that?
00:23Yeah.
00:23We're talking about that?
00:24Yeah.
00:24Yes!
00:26I am the winner.
00:27I won.
00:28When you see the poster, right, with all the names
00:31and the people in it, I don't think
00:33you can make that poster up.
00:34No, no, it's definitely an incredible list
00:37of human beings who have all done very random things.
00:40We've all accomplished different random things
00:42in the universe.
00:42I mean, some of them have won Wimbledon at the youngest
00:45age possible, but I've also done cool things.
00:48And one of them invented girl power.
00:50Yeah, yeah, that's also really important.
00:53Well, my first question to you was,
00:55you kind of slept in the same room with all these people.
00:58Yes.
00:58Has that given you a feeling for, like, Love Island?
01:01Has it given you a feeling for Big Brother?
01:03Because when I watch those programmes,
01:05I'm always like, that's weird, being in the same room.
01:09I never, ever thought I'd do reality telly.
01:11And it was quite surreal, you know,
01:13sharing a space with strangers and just, like,
01:17it becoming your norm.
01:18But they're not strangers, though.
01:19They're very, very famous people.
01:20Yeah, I know.
01:21But in reality, they are just random people
01:23that you don't know.
01:24Like, you don't know who farts.
01:26You don't know who burps.
01:27You don't know who snores.
01:28Like, Boris learned quickly who the farters and snorers were.
01:31He was surrounded by us.
01:32But, you know, it's funny, like, having
01:35to get used to people's sleeping habits and adjusting,
01:38because all 12 of us in one room was quite intense.
01:41But we got used to it.
01:42I don't know if I'd do the other reality shows.
01:44We'd never say never.
01:45Love Island, the heart rate challenge,
01:47you'd be very good at that.
01:48Oh, yeah.
01:48You'd get people going.
01:49Oh, my God.
01:50Don't get, let me get the gold shorts out.
01:52You get me?
01:53Hey.
01:53Gold shorts, hot pants, mate.
01:55Hot pants, sorry.
01:55How dare I?
01:57It's just absolutely amazing.
02:00And, like, my favourite moment, apart from you winning,
02:02I think it's probably Boris Becker singing everyone
02:04like a German lullaby or like a German nighttime story.
02:07Yeah, I know.
02:08I mean, Boris was definitely the father of the camp.
02:10He was, like, he's just, he's very cool.
02:14Like, you know when you see people
02:15that have accomplished so much in their life,
02:17like, sometimes you think they're a bit like,
02:19they're just very egotistical.
02:20But he's, like, one of the coolest guys ever, man.
02:22Boris, very understanding and just very respectful as well.
02:26And so do you have a favourite person?
02:28Boris is definitely up there.
02:30Boris is, like, my father that I never had.
02:33And I feel like he just, like, I really connected with him
02:37on a level because I feel like even when he spoke to me,
02:38I don't think he spoke to me like I was a young man or a child.
02:41He spoke to me like I was an adult.
02:42Even though I'm younger than him and he's done so much in his life,
02:45I feel like when he spoke to you, he just really, like,
02:47resonated with you and was really excited to hear about my life
02:50and my stories.
02:50But I think my favourite person out of everyone in there
02:53is probably Joe Thomas.
02:54Because, you know, I loved The Inbetweens growing up,
02:56but I also just love him as a person.
02:58He's so interesting, bro.
02:59He's a mad little dude, like, he can play piano,
03:02like, to the highest level, like, he's like, what?
03:05How tempted were you to kind of repeat lines
03:08from The Inbetweens to him?
03:09I did, I did.
03:09Right.
03:10I did.
03:11Anyone's favourite?
03:12Of course, friends, ah, car friends, ah, car friends.
03:16I said that, like, a thousand times.
03:18I didn't want to, because he is a human.
03:21He is not Simon.
03:22There was parts of my life where I did want to call him Simon,
03:25but he's not Simon, he is Joe.
03:27And Joe is a person.
03:29I'm going to ask him if that annoyed him.
03:31Probably, probably did.
03:33But, you know, them lines are, like, I really know a lot of,
03:35like, like, like, I'm going to swear,
03:37but when he says, boss, all that kind of stuff.
03:40I don't know if I can say that, but I said it.
03:42There's just so much, like, Carly, just screaming out Carly at him.
03:45All that stuff was, my 15, 14-year-old self was so excited.
03:50Oh, I love that.
03:51And I also love the way that he was really open.
03:53I don't think people necessarily would think this comedian,
03:55really funny guy would have these anxieties and talk about therapists.
03:59I think you all showed an incredible, normal side.
04:02And I think that's what people are going to love about this.
04:04And I also think you've gained so much respect for being the cook, baby.
04:08I mean, I love the way you basically dominated,
04:10because they couldn't eat without you.
04:12Do you know what I mean?
04:13I fed them.
04:14But that was all part of my plan.
04:16Have you seen what people have said about you, though?
04:18Have you seen it yet?
04:19Yeah, I've seen a couple of episodes, yeah.
04:21Because they're so kind about you.
04:23Yeah, definitely.
04:24I feel like they had a lot of love for what I did.
04:27I guess, you know, having a chef in the house definitely helps
04:30when it came to dinner time.
04:32But I think because we would do all these long challenges
04:35and you'd get home after a long day of, like, just getting all that stuff done.
04:39And then I'd get on the fire pit and get the food cracking.
04:43And I feel like I did it because I love cooking for people.
04:46It's part of me. It's who I am.
04:49But, you know, they're really bad at cooking.
04:51So I think without me, they would have started there.
04:54Who's the worst?
04:55Who's the worst? All of them combined.
04:57There was one night they said,
04:58Zuu, don't worry, we'll do it.
05:01And I was like, what have I let myself...
05:04I can't believe I let them cook that one night.
05:06I regret it so much.
05:07What did they make?
05:08I can't even remember. I just know it was bad.
05:10It just wasn't good.
05:11Slosh.
05:12But I taught Joe how to cook steak.
05:14Oh, I love that.
05:15So he knows how to cook steak now.
05:16Oh, that's so great.
05:17And have you been round there for a steak?
05:18No, I haven't been round.
05:21But I feel like he does owe me that still.
05:22He owes me a steak.
05:23Let's just talk about the actual whole hunt now, by the way.
05:27The hunting.
05:27I don't know why you signed up for it because it's at heart rate.
05:31I mean, are you OK now?
05:33Yeah, definitely. If I heard like a loud bang, I'd be like,
05:36Bear Grylls is on route. He's coming.
05:37He's behind you.
05:38Nah, you're OK. Listen.
05:40Nah, of course, signing up.
05:41I didn't really know what I signed up for.
05:42I'm not going to lie.
05:43When you got there, you realised how gruelling it was.
05:46It was really hard.
05:47It was really tough.
05:49Very challenging.
05:49But it pushed me to my limit.
05:50And it taught me about myself.
05:52I think we all learn something about ourselves.
05:54And I definitely left Bear Hunt stronger.
05:57I always thought, yeah, I'm a strong person.
06:00Yeah, I've been through a lot.
06:01But yeah, I learned a lot.
06:04And what did you learn from Bear?
06:08He's got a lot of sayings.
06:10He's very like, you know, like spiritual quotes.
06:12He'll kill catchphrases.
06:13Like if he went on catchphrase, celebrity catchphrase,
06:16he'll win because he's good at them quotes, you know.
06:19But I think the main thing I learned from him was
06:24understanding your strengths and understanding your weaknesses.
06:28And, you know, I'm not the most physical person.
06:30I do not live in the gym, but I was really strong mentally.
06:35And that brought me through.
06:36So learning what you're good at and thriving in that.
06:39And also taking criticism.
06:42Sometimes I'm bad at that.
06:43And he would sometimes, he'd tell me what I'm bad at.
06:47And I'm like, I have to listen because you're Bear Grylls.
06:50When you say Bear Grylls, I feel like you're calling him like Bear Grylls.
06:53He's like Bear Grylls, isn't he?
06:55He's like Grylls.
06:55He's got Bear Grylls.
06:56And I can't wait for the show with Shirley Ballas,
06:58you and her on a road trip together.
07:00Oh, my God.
07:00Yeah, that'll be very emotional.
07:02Very tender, a lot of dancing.
07:03She taught us how to dance.
07:05We did, what was it, the drive, something like that.
07:08The New York certain step.
07:09She taught us and it was hard.
07:11Big Z's on Strictly.
07:12All right, let's go.
