00:00So Celtic are still alive in this Champions League playoff tie against Bayern Munich.
00:07They went down 2-1 in Glasgow to the Bundesliga giants.
00:12Goals from Michael Alissi and Harry Kane appeared to have given Bayern what I would say is a pretty unassailable lead going into Tuesday's second leg in Bavaria.
00:22But with about 11 minutes to go, Celtic have got to go back. Dijs and Maida, who else, netting his 21st goal of the season.
00:30And actually Celtic ended the game really well, really strongly, put Bayern under pressure, gave them something to think about.
00:35Our manager Brendan Rodgers afterwards hailed his team's resilience and fighting spirit and said it will give them confidence going over to Germany next week.
00:44Now listen, Celtic will have to put in one of their greatest ever performances in Europe to usurp Bayern and overturn the 2-1 deficit.
00:52This is a team that doesn't win away from home on the continent very often and Bayern are a bit of an ogre you would say on their own patch
01:00and are desperate to get back to the Allianz Arena for the final which takes place on their home patch at the end of the season.
01:08But, strange things have happened I suppose in football. Bayern didn't look completely invincible.
01:13In fact I thought they really took their foot off the pedal and allowed Celtic a chance to come back into the game.
01:19And that means that they can go there with a complete free hit. Celtic have already achieved the baseline objective for Brendan Rodgers
01:26which was to get to the stage in the play-off round, anything more is a bonus.
01:30And they can go there and have a swing and if they do end up going out, there's no shame in that.
01:35A great atmosphere here at Celtic Park, one of the special stadiums in the Champions League and they didn't let that down with the noise here.
01:42Celtic actually had the ball in the net inside 30 seconds for Nicolas Koon and the noise was ear-splitting only for it to be disallowed for an offside by Ademida.
01:50A few other things to wrap up, Harry Kane scored his 29th goal in 29 games at Bayern Munich.
01:55This is an incredible record for the England captain and striker and he's now scored at every major stadium in Glasgow.
02:00Celtic Park, Hamden and Ibrox when he went there, they're friendly for Tottenham Hotspur.
02:05His goal here really irked Brendan Rodgers actually, he was unmarked from a corner kick and volleyed home and that was a real blow for Celtic.
02:13They managed to repair a little bit of the damage, it's certainly a tall order you'd have to say to go over there.
02:19Some would say it was a miraculous performance but look, Celtic are still alive, still have a pulse in this Champions League tie after an intoxicating evening here in Glasgow where it finished.
02:27Celtic 1, Bayern Munich 2.
