00:46Hello and welcome to From the South, I'm Alejandra Garcia.
00:49From Telesur studios in Caracas, Venezuela, we begin with the news, stay with us.
00:54Thousands of young Venezuelans mobilized this Wednesday in the streets of Caracas to commemorate
01:10the 211th anniversary of the Battle of the Youth and the Battle of Victory.
01:16Venezuelan youth arrived in Caracas from different states of the country to remember and praise
01:20the heroism of the patriots and young people who defended the nation against Spanish colonialism.
01:27The march for this historic deed started at Plaza Venezuela and will travel through several
01:32points of the capital city until arriving at Universidad Avenue where the Central Act
01:38will take place.
01:39The Battle of the Youth was a military confrontation where professors and students under the leadership
01:44of Jose Felix Rivas defeated the Spanish troops in the city of La Victoria, Aragua State.
01:56Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro reiterated Wednesday his condemnations of USAID's financing
02:01of the extreme right to undermine the peace in the country.
02:05The President expressed his rejection during the inauguration of the International School
02:09for Youth Leadership, where he stressed that the Venezuelan opposition had become a business
02:15with profit-oriented purposes.
02:18During the event, Maduro also welcomed the meeting held by Russian President Vladimir
02:22Putin and his counterpart Donald Trump, where they agreed to strengthen their nation's bilateral
02:28relations.
02:29The Bolivarian President stressed the need to create a multipolar world where the right
02:34of the peoples of the South to exist is respected.
02:39The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, affirmed she will not allow interference in
02:47her country following the appointment of Terry Cole as the new Director of the United States
02:52Drug Enforcement Administration, DEA.
02:55Sheinbaum also warned that both nations currently maintain cooperation agreements without middling
03:01and without subordination.
03:03The DEA is one of the most controversial U.S. agencies in Mexico since the administration
03:09of former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, due to middling comments made by
03:14several of its officials on various issues, such as the reform of the Judiciary.
03:27There is no violation of sovereignty, what we have is coordination and collaboration.
03:33With the agencies of the U.S. government, the State Department, with all of them, the
03:38Secretary of Government of the United States, the White House and President Donald Trump
03:43himself.
03:44But it is not going to be like before the arrival of President Andrés Manuel López
03:49Obrador.
03:50Coordination, collaboration, information, but without interference or subordination.
04:03The U.S. news agency AP reported that one of its journalists was prevented from entering
04:08the White House for continuing to use the name Gulf of Mexico.
04:12Julie Pace, the Executive Director of AP, detailed a communication by the Executive
04:18Office of the President in which they were told that if they did not align their editorial
04:23standards with the executive order of President Trump renaming the Gulf, the agency would
04:28be denied access to the Oval Office.
04:31AP finds it alarming that they are being punished for this decision, calling it a violation
04:36of the First Amendment.
04:37Civil rights organizations point out that denying access to the press for disagreeing
04:43with news coverage is a practice of repressive governments.
04:51Trump's administration imposes on Costa Rica, Guatemala and Panama be a safe third
04:57country to receive migrants deported from the United States.
05:00The tour of U.S. Secretary Barco Rubio forced the administrations of Central American nations
05:05to harness hundreds of migrants as their bargaining chips.
05:10Panama and Costa Rica are currently trying to transfer migrants willing to return to
05:14their country of origin.
05:16However, they have not even defined the operation plan, not following suit of Venezuela, a nation
05:22that has made a solid repatriation operation for over seven years.
05:26In the meantime, hundreds of migrants are suffering from degrading treatment.
05:37And now we have a short break coming up, but first remember you can join us on TikTok at

08:05this type of violence.
08:12This project presented is one of the actions that are being taken in our country to provide
08:16specific attention to the issue of violence, but its peculiarity lies in the project will
08:20get to municipalities, therefore, it is paramount our population, our citizens, our women, our
08:25children and our teenagers keep posted about it, so we must disseminate the project, as
08:29we are one of the institutions or an instrument to safeguard their rights and guarantees.

12:08deadline for its withdrawal from southern Lebanon.

12:23in the Gaza Strip and warns him that he will face a Palestinian, Arab and Islamic response.

12:58has violated the pact.

15:46and left behind inequalities that persist in global financial systems, trade structures,
15:52and governance institutions till this day.
15:56The extraction of Africa's resources without corresponding development, the undervaluation
16:02of the African economies in global credit assessments, and the systemic barriers to
16:08trade and investment.
