00:24In June 2022, the Energy Regulatory Commission of Meralco

00:29limited the single distribution charge to Php 1.35 per kWh,

00:35including the metering charge and supply charge.

00:38But according to the National Association of Electricity Consumers for Reform or NASICOR,

00:43if you look at the back of the Meralco bill,

00:45Meralco asked for Php 2.09 for the distribution,

00:50Php 33 for metering, and Php 49 for supply charge.

00:54Php 1.57 was too much for the ERC.

01:19This means that in Juscel's electric bill,

01:21Meralco asked for more than Php 1,122

01:26from the multiplication of Php 1.57

01:30that was not overcharged

01:31for the 715 kWh that he consumed.

01:40According to NASICOR, it was illegal to ask for more,
