00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was appointed as the new head of the Department of Transportation.
00:05The former Basis Conversion and Development Authority, or BCDA chief, Vivencio Vince Brias Dizon,
00:12and Executive Secretary Lucas Versamin.
00:15In effect, on February 21, Dizon will replace Secretary Jaime Bautista.
00:20Dizon was one of those who implemented the Build-Build-Build Infrastructure Program during the previous administration.
00:26He also became the Deputy Implementer of the National Action Plan Against COVID-19,
00:31Testing Czar, and Chief Coordinator of the Test, Trace, Treat, and Prereq.
00:35Versamin added that the Office of the President has given authorization to Dizon to start the transition to the DOTR
00:43with the assistance of Secretary Bautista's men.
00:46According to the DOTR, Bautista's appointment is to give notice of his health.
00:52Meanwhile, Presidential Communications Secretary Cesar Chavez was confirmed to continue serving the agency while he is on leave.
01:00Meanwhile, Senior Undersecretary Emerald Ann Ridao was appointed as the officer-in-charge of the PCO from February 17 to 21.
