00:00I'm Richard Parker, Mayor of the West Midlands, and I visited the Royal Quarter in Wolverhampton
00:13today to learn about the fantastic work being done to redevelop the Dickson site just behind
00:20us.
00:21Hi, I'm Steve Bavington, I'm the Chief Executive of the YMCA in the Black Country.
00:25Steve, tell me about this project here and the difference it's going to make to people's
00:30lives.
00:31Yeah, it's really key.
00:32The accommodation we're going to be providing here is absolutely invaluable because it's
00:37going to be low cost, high quality for young people looking to set up out of home and move
00:42out and get independent in the community.
00:45So it's a fantastic building and it's going to be really aspirational for people who are
00:49wanting to move on with their lives to get independent.
00:52And when do you hope for this facility and these homes to be made?
00:57I'm hoping 2027, so we've got a bit of a wait but it's going to be worth it, they're going
01:02to be absolutely amazing.
01:03Thank you, that's fantastic.
01:04Brilliant, no problem.
