The second edition of Emirati Book Fair (EBF), organised by Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), in cooperation with Emirates Writers’ Union, will run until April 24 at SBA’s headquarters in Al Zahia. The book fair, which started on April 21, is open to the public from 9pm-1am daily.

01:03We are here addressing the second year of the Emirati Book Fair.
01:07I'm really happy to see this celebration and support for all the Emirati publishers, Emirati
01:13authors, looking around and seeing as much as possible of the Emirati books, whether
01:18they're academic books or fiction, non-fiction.
01:22This is a huge celebration for who we are.
01:25It gets back to our identity and as Sharjah is always one of the pioneers in celebrating
01:31literature, whether it's Emirati or taking the Emirati authors to the next level of introducing
01:38them worldwide or globally to international authors.
01:43I think this is one of the things that we will be seeing in the years, upcoming years,
01:49whether it's the 3rd or 4th or even 10th year of the Emirati Book Fair, I guess we'll see
01:54more translations of the Emirati books, more celebrations globally too.
