00:00If we don't change the way that we shop fashion and buy fashion,

00:04I think it will definitely affect the future of fashion.

00:09Well, I think it's very difficult to predict the future of fashion.

00:12You know, what will we wear?

00:14Will we wear clothes?

00:15Will we wear protective clothes?

00:17What will be the environment?

00:19You know, I think all these factors are something which we need to consider.

00:23I think if we don't change the way that we shop fashion and buy fashion,

00:28I think it will definitely affect the future of fashion and the planet around us.

00:33I think we all must be aware before we buy clothes,

00:36do they have a green tag on them?

00:39Or is the fabric ethnically sourced?

00:42I think we must ask questions before we buy clothing.

00:45And when we change the way we buy fashion,

00:49that will affect the way that the planet will change.

00:52We need to save the world.

00:54I think predictions of forecasts, unless we change the way that we buy fashion,

01:00and unless we invest into green fashion and the issues around it,

01:05that these will have dramatic consequences on the planet and our environment.

01:10I think it's up to everybody as a consumer to kind of purchase clothes

01:15which have kind of ethnical values to them.

01:18And then ask as well, you know, when you buy clothing in a boutique or in a mall,

01:23okay, where does this clothing come from?

01:26Where does my dress come from?

01:27Is it cotton? Is it polyester?

01:30You know, is this a green fabric?

01:32Am I buying sustainable clothing?

01:34Or am I buying clothing which damages the fabric?

01:38Or am I buying clothing which damages the planet and affects people's lives?

01:44I think upcycling and recycling is amazing.

01:48I think it's really exciting because the thing is,

01:51you know, when you say recycle, it doesn't mean always wearing old clothes.

01:56You know, it means kind of changing the way that you wear your clothes.

01:59And when you say recycling as well, it's about going into your wardrobe and thinking,

02:04wow, you know, do I need to buy another dress?

02:08Do I need to buy another jacket?

02:10I have 20 black t-shirts. Do I need another one?

02:13And so sometimes, you know, recycling can be just wearing clothes you already have

02:18but without buying new clothes.

02:20Because I think the more clothes we buy and we consume, the more we're affecting the planet.

02:25So I think what designers and people are trying to say to people is,

02:29buy clothes only when you really need to buy them.

02:32And when you buy less, you know, less luxurious clothes or cheaper clothes,

02:38I think they're cheaper because where were those clothes made?

02:42You know, have they been made, you know, by the right people in the right controlled factories?

02:47Or have they been made in unethical ways?

02:51I think everybody wants to be green. Everybody wants to protect the planet.

02:56And through buying and making the right choices with clothing,

02:59you're going to help recycle the fashion industry and make it much more greener.

03:05To create a timeless wardrobe is very, very difficult.

03:09I think, first of all, buy your favourite things, things that you wear all the time.

03:14So obviously for me, what would be my capsule wardrobe?

03:18Well, it would definitely have to be, you know, a pair of black trousers or a pair of jeans.

03:22It'd have to be a t-shirt. I live on a t-shirt.

03:25And it'd have to be a sweater, preferably all black because I only wear black.

03:31So my timeless wardrobe is very, very easy.

03:34But I think it depends on your lifestyle and where you live.

03:37But I think buy clothes which you feel that you will wear all the time.

03:41And then in terms of kind of buying something special, you know, something smarter,

03:46you know, just buy one dress, you know, one dress which you can wear to many occasions.

03:51You know, do you need to wear, buy three dresses where one will do the job?

03:55So just buy things which you know that you love and you can wear many, many times.
