00:00Good morning to all. Today is February 14, 2025 and here is the update on the weather forecast for the next 24 hours.
00:09At the moment, we have three weather systems that are bringing rain here in a large part of our country.
00:17First here is the shear line where it is still affecting the extreme northern Luzon
00:23and the easterlies where there is still a high chance of rain here in the eastern part of Luzon and Visayas.
00:30Meanwhile, here in the area of Mindanao, the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ is still affecting
00:38where there is still a high chance of rain, lightning and thunder especially here in the eastern part of Mindanao.
00:46According to our latest analysis this weekend, the shear line and easterlies will continue to bring rain here in the eastern part of our country
00:56and by next week, the Northeast Monsoon or AMIHAN will return here in the area of northern and central Luzon.
01:04Meanwhile, the low pressure area that we are monitoring outside our area of responsibility has no effect on any part of our country
01:13and the chance of a storm is still low and it will not enter our area of responsibility.
01:20Aside from this, we do not have any other low pressure area or storm that we are monitoring that can affect our country.
01:31And for the time being, this Friday, you will still experience cloudy skies and scattered rains
01:38here in the Batanas and Babuyan Islands along the shear line.
01:43Meanwhile, the weather will also be dark and the chance of rain is still high.
01:48Lightning and thunder here in the mainland of Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon and in the area of Bicol Region along the easterlies.
01:58So again, be careful for our countrymen there in the possibility of floods and landslides.
02:04Meanwhile, here in Metro Manila, even in the deep part of Luzon, the sky will be partly cloudy to cloudy.
02:13And because the AMIHAN is not affecting any part of our country, the weather we will experience is still partly hot,
02:22especially in the afternoon and the chance of rain is high or isolated or sudden and sudden rains,
02:29especially in the afternoon and night, along the easterlies.
02:34So when we go out, let's not forget our precautions here in these rains.
02:40The temperature in Metro Manila is from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:47Meanwhile, in the part of Visayas and Mindanao, here in the area of Eastern Visayas,
02:53the chance of rain, lightning and thunder will be high, especially in the afternoon and night, along the easterlies.
03:02Meanwhile, we will still experience strong rains here in the area of Caraga and Davao Region,
03:11even in Northern Mindanao, along the ITCZ.
03:15So again, continue to be careful for our countrymen there in the possibility of floods and landslides.
03:22Meanwhile, in the deep part of Visayas and Mindanao, even here in the area of Palawan,
03:28the sky will be partly cloudy to cloudy.
03:32We have the possibility of isolated or sudden rains, lightning and thunder,
03:38especially in the afternoon and night, along the easterlies and ITCZ.
03:43The temperature in Cebu is from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius,
03:47while in Davao, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:53And for the coastal areas of our country, we no longer have a high-level gale warning,
03:58but we still have to be careful for our countrymen who will sail to the coastal areas of Northern Luzon,
04:04where the sea level will be moderate to high.
04:11Here in Metro Manila, the sun will rise later at 6.21 a.m. and set later at 6 p.m.
04:19We will continue to keep you updated on the weather forecast.
