00:00A fire broke out in front of an elementary school in Santa Cruz, Manila, just yesterday.

00:20A thick smoke and raging fire is peeking through the windows of four floors of this residential storage building.

00:28The house was damaged in the fire that broke out in Cusang Loob Street, Barangay 353, Santa Cruz, Manila.

00:35At 4.05 p.m., the first alarm was raised.

00:39A few minutes later, the second alarm was raised.

00:47Firefighters arrived one after another.

00:49The fire started in a house inside Peskinita, Umano.

00:53Due to the use of light materials, the fire spread quickly to the adjacent houses.

00:58Some residents could not be saved.

01:01We thought it was just a simple smoke.

01:04I climbed up and saw that the fire was already high.

01:07I couldn't do anything. I couldn't be saved.

01:10Some of the people who were burned believed that the fire was caused by one of their neighbors.

01:15Even in the last papers, we were not saved.

01:18That's what we really want.

01:33Some firefighters climbed up the roof of their houses to extinguish the fire that hit the houses in Bandang Nikuran.

01:41It was also difficult for the firefighters to extinguish the fire in the residential storage building.

01:45That's why some of them were wearing breathing apparatus.

01:49The fire started on the third floor with a lot of stacks.

01:56According to the BFP, 18 families or 45 individuals were affected by the fire.

02:02No one was injured in the incident.

02:04More than P3.5 million was lost.

02:09The fire happened in front of A. Bonifacio Elementary School.
