00:00The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship is just around the corner so that's why we're
00:04here today to celebrate, have our ceremonial tea shot and really look
00:08forward to what is going to be a fantastic event. This tournament has such
00:12a long history, this will be the 18th year. Moving it to Yass Lynx last year
00:16was kind of part of the journey and it was a huge success. I think it was more
00:20about showcasing Abu Dhabi to the global audience, showcasing Yass Island and
00:25really attracting the international audience and I'm sure golf fans watching
00:29around the world saw it on this new venue and and really wanted to to come
00:33and be here themselves. So yeah, second year here, really looking forward to it.
00:36The feel this year is going to be really strong once again. We're lucky the top
00:41players love coming to Abu Dhabi, they love the weather, they love the golf
00:44course, the hospitality but of course this year for the first time we'll have
00:48the Hero Cup, our new team event the week before. I think that has resulted in a
00:52lot of players wanting to come and be part of the Hero Cup and play in the
00:55Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. So the two events together, a two-week festival of
01:00golf in Abu Dhabi means that the field is probably our strongest and deepest
01:03yet. We've obviously already announced we've got Thomas Peters coming back
01:08defending champion, we've got Tommy Fleetwood, we've got Shane Lowry, a couple
01:12of new names in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. Seamus Power, he's an
01:16exciting young talent, top 30 in the world, two-time winner on the PGA Tour
01:20and a lot of other really strong names, some familiar faces, some new ones coming
01:24back again. The Abu Dhabi Sports Council, it's their event, they've been at the
01:29really the forefront of growing golf in this region for 18 years. His Excellency
01:33Arif Al-Awani who's in charge really has a leadership and a vision that gives us
01:38all that direction and enthusiasm and passion to keep growing this game, keep
01:43growing this particular event because we know it can continue to get bigger and
01:46better. It's going to be a festival of golf having for sure Abu Dhabi HSBC,
01:52having next week starting the Amateur Tournament and at the same time having
01:57the Hero Cup, so for every fan who are loving the golf will never find a better
02:02time to spend rather than Abu Dhabi in January. All the global golf fans are
02:08really focused in on this one event, it's a new season, new Rolex series, let's go,
02:12it's part of the reason this tournament ticks.
