00:00A student uploaded a video of a motorcycle rider in Malabon on his cell phone.

00:04The suspect is a rider wearing a motorcycle ride-hailing app.

00:09Niko Wahe exclusive.

00:15Earlier this afternoon, a student was standing in Esquinita in Barangay Baritan, Malabon while using his cell phone.

00:22The rider was riding a motorcycle while wearing a motorcycle taxi app.

00:28He stopped at the end and waited for his student to approach him.

00:32He talked to the student until his cell phone was blocked.

00:37The student quickly ran away from the motorcycle.

00:39The student tried to chase the grade 12 student we called John.

00:43He said he was traumatized because of what happened.

00:46I couldn't scream because I was in a war shock.

00:51It was the first time something like this happened to me.

00:55The victim immediately reported to the barangay,

00:57which was immediately arrested by the police who conducted a follow-up operation.

01:01Barangay Baritan sent a copy of the Certificate of Registration based on the motorcycle license plate.

01:11We also found out the address and name of the person who was there,

01:18which is close to the place where our oplancita was held.

01:22When the suspect went to the oplancita checkpoint,

01:25he was asked by the police that the motorcycle license plate of the suspect was gone.

01:30When we scrutinized the video, we immediately saw his sandals,

01:40which is similar to the one in the video.

01:43He slowly confessed.

01:47The suspect refused to face the camera,

01:49but he admitted to the police that he was in debt because of the theft.

01:54The suspect also confirmed that he is a motorcycle taxi rider.

01:58The Ride Hailing app admitted that they are still confirming if the suspect is a rider.

02:05According to Malabon Police, the suspect sold the victim's cell phone for P5,000, but it was recovered.

02:11He is facing a robbery snatching complaint.
