00:10On Thursday, a 24-year-old Afghan national was immediately arrested after driving a car

00:18Authorities said at the time that 39 people were injured, two of which were in critical
00:22condition.
00:23Prosecutors say the Afghan man appears to have had an Islamic extremist motive, but
00:27no evidence pointed towards his involvement with any radical networks.
00:32It was the fifth in a string of attacks involving immigrants over the past nine months in Germany.
00:37It also came just over a week before the country holds its federal elections, with immigration
00:42being one of the forefront issues.
00:45Immigration debates have paved the way for Germany's far right to make significant gains

00:49The Alternative for Germany party, which promises to crack down on immigration, is currently
