00:00In Shum, LGU, in the province of Cebu,

00:03there was an earthquake in R-Cebu.

00:05This program was cancelled

00:07and local products of small businesses were sold

00:11inside a mall.

00:13This is what Jesse Atienza of PTV Cebu reported.

00:20The people in a mall in Cebu City

00:24were shocked by the beautiful stalls

00:26of towns and villages

00:28of the 5th District of Cebu Province.

00:30But the real star here

00:32are the local products to be bought.

00:35From vegetables, delicacies, souvenir items,

00:39and the famous product of Cebu,

00:41the dried fish.

00:43This is R-Cebu,

00:45an initiative of the Cebu Provincial Government

00:47led by Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia,

00:50which started during the pandemic.

00:53Yes, we are very happy and grateful to our governor.

00:57This program started during the pandemic

00:59because when people cannot go around

01:02into towns and places

01:04to buy products from other towns,

01:06from the north and to the south,

01:08Governor Gwen and of course

01:10the mall, Robinson's Mall,

01:12that's why it's called R-Cebu,

01:14gave us the opportunity

01:16to showcase our delicacies and products

01:18in our towns

01:20to the people in central Cebu,

01:22especially mainly here in Cebu City.

01:25According to the Department of Trade and Industry,

01:27Region 7,

01:29small businesses are doing a lot of activities

01:32because it helps them

01:34to improve their products.

01:37Events such as this

01:39are very helpful to MSMEs.

01:42Number one,

01:44to be able to buy our products,

01:46so not the sales.

01:48Number two,

01:49to be able to expose our products

01:51to the market.

01:53So when our products are exposed

01:55to their market,

01:57our buyers will give us feedback.

01:59Are our products good?

02:01Are our products beautiful?

02:03How can we improve our products?

02:05That will form as a basis

02:07for MSMEs to improve their products.

02:10This is the fifth year of R-Cebu

02:12and it will be open to the public

02:14within three days
