00:04This is after a dialogue was concluded between some lawmakers in the government agency and rice owners and millers

00:11that the regular and well-milled rice in the markets was sold for up to Php 45.

00:22Now, rice owners, millers, Bureau of Customs, BOC, Department of Agriculture, DA and some members of the House of Representatives

00:34have agreed to sell rice for Php 40 to Php 45, the regular and well-milled rice, in the markets.

00:41This is after a dialogue was concluded between the BOC Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio

00:47and DA Secretary Francisco Noel Jr. and Congressman Erwin Tulfo and some members of the House of Representatives.

00:55In their dialogue, rice warehouse owners and millers of Balagtas, Bulacan said that their price is low

01:05so they are wondering why it is so expensive when it comes to the markets and retailers.

01:11They also decided to chase the middlemen.

01:15They asked for names of all the wholesalers who buy their rice.

01:21They also promised that the NFA will buy their rice and they also submitted to the President.

01:30Rice warehouse owners and millers of Balagtas, Bulacan also cried

01:36They will put mobile stores in the markets so that the rice can be bought directly from the retailers in the markets.

01:45Remember, this Monday, some rice warehouse and millers were shut down by the BOT

01:52because of hoarding and overpricing of imported rice from Thailand, Pakistan and Myanmar.
