00:00More than 70 OFWs from Lebanon who have availed of the government's repatriation program have returned to the Philippines.

00:06Meanwhile, the Department of Migrant Workers warned OFWs to be aware of registered and legitimate Balikbayan boxes for orders

00:15to avoid any possible violations.

00:20More than 40 delayed and mishandled Balikbayan boxes that are in a warehouse in Valenzuela City

00:28have been returned by the Department of Migrant Workers to OFW owners.

00:33This is in accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:37to protect and take care of the rights of the people of the new era,

00:43the Overseas Filipino Workers.

00:45In the OFW's repatriation program in Radyo Pilipinas,

00:49the DMW warned OFWs in accordance with the Balikbayan Boxes Scam.

00:54They also reminded them to take a good look at the list issued by the Bureau of Customs

00:59of registered and legitimate Balikbayan boxes for orders so that they will not be victimized.

01:04We trust the registrar and the legitimate Balikbayan box for orders.

01:12We're working on around 2,500 boxes that have been abandoned

01:18that cannot be delivered because their forwarders have left them abroad.

01:26Balikbayan boxes have been sent to Cavite, Batangas, and Negros Occidental.

01:31Aside from this, the Agency of Action Fund Assistance is also involved

01:35in the victims of the Balikbayan Boxes Scam.

01:38Last year, almost 10,000 Balikbayan boxes were delivered by the DMW to its owners.

01:45It's important that you have a good place to deliver them

01:53so that they can be delivered to their homes.

01:59Meanwhile, more than 70 OFWs from Lebanon

02:03have availed the government's repatriation program to their homes in the Philippines.

02:08In total, more than 1,000 OFWs and more than 60 dependents have returned to their countries from Lebanon

02:16since Giriana was established through Israel and the Hamas group in 2023.

02:21The government's various agencies have also promised to support them

02:25as part of the financial assistance and livelihood program.

02:29Aside from this, 25 OFWs from Israel have also returned to the Philippines.

02:35In total, more than 1,000 OFWs and more than 30 dependents from Israel have returned to their countries since 2023.
