00:00The reason why we decided at Expo City Dubai to have a pavilion is because the delegates
00:13who are coming in to attend COP28 might not necessarily know the story of the place that
00:17they're visiting.
00:18Our objective in putting an exhibition together within the context of our program and all
00:23of our events that we're hosting in this venue is to really tell the story of the sustainable
00:28city that we have built over the last decade and what are the things that we have done,
00:33where are we today and where are we going tomorrow.
00:35So the components of the exhibition are truly sustainable, 100% recyclable or recycled materials,
00:42really trying to showcase what the future of exhibition could look like in a more sustainable
00:47world but also tell the story of how we built Expo City Dubai.
00:52It's built environment, it's physical infrastructure, what are the elements that comprise that physicality
00:58how do we operate sustainably, how do we create experiences like Tara, like Aleph who many
01:05people would remember from Expo 2020 days.
01:08What are the new additional layers of experience and program and events that we're hosting
01:13at Expo City Dubai today and tomorrow.
01:15So as you go through the experience you will hear about all of our big programs and flagship
01:21events that we're planning to host in 2024 so we're very active, we're very open, we're
01:26open to receiving our exhibitions and those that you're familiar with but also new events
01:30and activities that we're continuously bringing on stream so there's just lots to do here
01:37and as we move forward.
01:39The pavilion really takes you through a journey of Expo 2020, what our legacy intention always
01:44was and how we have fulfilled that legacy.
01:47So first of all you're standing under Salama who is the tree, the gaff tree that we found
01:52on the site when we first identified the site to build it 10 years ago and the idea
01:56of really putting a gaff tree at the centre of the exhibition is to showcase how the gaff
02:01tree is itself used in so many different ways in Emirati culture and tradition as you sit
02:07under the gaff tree, as you use the materials of the gaff tree, as it provides shade and
02:10shelter and then it sort of takes you on a journey of innovation and technology, how
02:15we fuse that into the city and put the human first through the technology solutions we're
02:20putting in place.
02:22You have the opportunity to plant a pledge and then if you plant a pledge and you give
02:27us your name we will plant a tree in your name in Expo City and so there are these little
02:33gestures but also experiences, you can put on the Al-Wasl AV experience and sit in the
02:38context of Al-Wasl and experience it.
02:41You'll see elements like surreal waterfall, so there's some educational components, some
02:47experiential components but you can smell frankincense and really get a feeling of the
02:52city being back in Expo City again.
04:23This is our single seater, it's basically an electric helicopter that is simple, silent,
04:30affordable for everyone, purely electric, zero emission, automatically flying and we
04:36are happy to launch that here in the region.
04:39This is our 1969 variant, it's a fully electric motorcycle, it's fully automatic, it has no
04:45clutch, no gear, goes up to 100 kilometres on a single charge.
04:49We use lithium batteries for the top motors, the top speed of the motorcycle is also about
04:54100.
04:55We have three modes, there's Ford, Eco and Reverse and if you get pleased by this you
05:00can feel retro when it goes down.
05:02We have here our electrified turbine factory.
05:05So our project is basically to retrofit the diesel trucks that we use internally within
05:11our ports to convert them to electrical and the plan is to convert 40% of our internal
05:18vehicles within 2030.
