Ashok Hinduja (Hinduja Brothers) shares a fascinating story from his time in Iran when there was a severe shortage of onions and potatoes. The Iranian government, struggling to find supplies, reached out to Hinduja Brothers, despite having never dealt with such a business before. After realizing that India had an excess of these crops, they decided to help, but shipping was impossible due to a 90-day congestion. In response, Gopichand Hinduja proposed that the Shah of Iran speak to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Bhutto, which led to the establishment of a new road transport route. This was a groundbreaking initiative, and despite numerous challenges, Hinduja Brothers managed to deliver the onions and potatoes to the Iranian market in just eight days. Ashok Hinduja also recalls an emotional moment when he was invited by the Swaminarayan community in Gandhinagar to celebrate his 50th anniversary. Upon arrival, he was deeply honored by the respect shown to him. When he inquired why he was being treated so specially, he was told, "You are a son of Goddess Laxmi, and I respect her greatly." This moment reinforced Ashok Hinduja’s belief in the importance of serving others and embracing challenges with dedication.
