00:00Petronas will maintain all the agreements, contractual obligations, domestic and international, that are available.
00:13Petros, under the DGO, is guaranteed to procure natural gas up to 1.2 billion feet per day for the domestic needs of Sarawak.
00:26With guarantees based on the following requirements.
00:32The federal and Sarawak governments have agreed to Petronas and its subsidiaries retaining all existing domestic and international contractual obligations.
00:42Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim told the Dewan Rakyat today that the two governments also recognized the Petroleum Development Act 1974 as a federal law.
00:53He also said it was agreed that the distribution of gas ordinance 2016 would come into force on March 1st.
01:01Last night, Sarawak Premier Abang Johari Oping reiterated the state's contention that it had regulatory authority over oil and gas activities within its territory.
01:14He said the state's position was clearly enshrined in the federal constitution and the Malaysia Agreement 1963.
01:22He was responding to a parliamentary reply by Law and Institutional Reform Minister Azalina Othman Syed, who said Petronas and its subsidiaries would not require a license to operate in Sarawak.
