00:00I think I found work-life balance for a 43-year-old single person, but, you know, having a family of a different level.
00:06And I got a dog, and Sophie, I mean, I feel embarrassed. Like, anyone watching, thinking, what a heartless person.
00:11He says he has no family, but he has a golden retriever. So yes, I am a father of a three-year-old named Sophie.
00:16So I'll wake up maybe around 8, 830, something like that. Most mornings
00:20I wake up and the first thing I try to do is do a little bit of cardio, like some exercise on an empty stomach
00:26when I have, like, a low glucose level. And so I'll either, like, go on a Stairmaster at the gym, or maybe I'll walk my dog.
00:33I'll shower, I'll eat a light breakfast, and I drink one to two cups, typically, of just black coffee without any milk or sugar.
00:40I usually go in the office Tuesday through Friday. My executive team is distributed, most of them are, in San Francisco.
00:45So that meeting's Zoom. I typically will have meetings from around 10 to 6,
00:50but I try to keep my day a little bit unstructured. So I generally don't like to have back-to-back meetings.
00:55I like to have some free time to roam around and to be able to do some heads-down work.
00:59I'll do emails kind of throughout the day. I usually eat at, like, 9, 12, 3, 6, 9,
01:0530, because I'm working out. So it's five meals a day.
01:07The only caveat is, like, I do a little bit of, like, intermittent fasting, too, where, like, I found that's kind of helpful.
01:14It just kind of lowers your blood sugar in your body.
01:16So I'll work in the office till about 6, or maybe about 7. Then I'll head to the gym.
01:21The gym is around 7, 30, 8 o'clock. Then I'll come home. And then the half the nights, I probably, like, just do personal stuff.
01:28I might have a dinner with somebody. I might hang out. I might read, draw, watch something on TV, do phone calls with friends.
01:34The other half time, I might be working. If I'm working at night, I'm probably sometimes calling people.
01:38Sometimes I'll call employees that are available at night to check in, or I'll do a really heads-down work.
01:43You know, I might, I could be writing from, like, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
01:46Now, I'm not doing it every night, but if I really want to do some deep work, I'll do that.
01:50And then I go to bed, and I repeat.
