00:00The name of the Tulfo will still remain on the back of the petition to disqualify them for the election, according to the Comelec.

00:15The Tulfo saw that there is no basis for disqualifying them, especially on the issue of the political dynasty because there is no law that establishes this definition.

00:27The first news is from Sandra Aguinaldo.

00:33The Comelec promised that they will finish all the disqualification petitions that were submitted to them before the election on May 12.

00:41This includes the petition to disqualify the five Tulfo relatives who are running for the election in 2025,

00:48ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo, ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Joselyn Tulfo, Quezon City 2nd District Rep. Ralph Tulfo, Partylist Nominee Wanda Tulfoteo, and Senatorial Candidate Ben Tulfo.

01:03In the petition submitted by the retired AFP General, Atty. Virgilio Garcia, two grounds or bases were laid,

01:11particularly through Section 26, Article 2 of the 1987 Constitution, which prohibits political dynasties based on the definition established by the law.

01:22But there is no law that establishes the definition, according to Congressman Erwin Tulfo.

01:28There needs to be a law. Unfortunately, the Congress and the Senate are not moving yet. There needs to be a defining law, enabling law. Otherwise, where will we start?

01:40Ben Tulfo's answer is almost the same, even though he's against political dynasties.

01:46As long as there's no clear law, enabling law, who will implement it?

01:52Tulfos were also questioned in the petition on the requirement for running Senators and Congressmen.

01:59The petitioner said that they have been living in America for a long time, so they should look for proof that their Filipino citizenship is not lost.

02:07At the end of the petition, Congressman Erwin Tulfo was not able to sit as the DSWD Secretary on the question of his citizenship.

02:17According to the party list that nominated former Tourism Secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo, the Tulfo family has not violated the law.

02:25According to their positions, Rep. Jocelyn and Ralph Tulfo are possibly politically motivated.

02:32Ralph Tulfo said that the petitioner, Garcia, will fight for the second district representative of Quezon City.

02:40According to the party list, the name of the Tulfos in the ballot will remain.

02:45But even if they decide to run for the Supreme Court, it is possible for them to reach an election.

02:52If their case is not decided on time and they are dismissed, or if there's a proclamation and then there's an assumption,

03:05we cannot do anything if the case is not dismissed because the jurisdiction will be lost.

03:11The jurisdiction will go to the Senate Electoral Tribunal if the opposition is a senator,

03:18and the House of Representatives Electoral Tribunal if the opposition is a congressman.
