00:06Mindanao, Cebu, Negros, and Panay, enabling a 400 to 450 megawatt power export capacity.
00:14This development is expected to reinforce the country's energy supply
00:19and improve power stability nationwide. According to Energy Secretary Rafael Lotilia,
00:25despite the changes posed by El Niño, hydropower plants have continued operations,
00:32while the government is expanding renewable energy projects and the Green Energy Auction
00:37Program to further stabilize the country's energy sector. Secretary Lotilia added the agency's
00:45electrification program has provided electricity to 1.6 million households in 2024,
00:53raising the country's overall power connection to 92%.
