The fifth edition of the Rally Racing Meeting, the world’s biggest annual event dedicated to the world of motorsport, came to a close yesterday. Organized by two-time World Rally Champion Miki Biasion, the captivating event held in the halls of the Vicenza Expo Center brought in over 10,000 guests across the weekend, demonstrating just how much motorsport means to the general public.
Lancia was the star of the show with its most recent creations—the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF, the 280-HP Ypsilon HF, the Ypsilon LX—and an unprecedented display of all of the Lancia models which have participated in motorsport competitions since 1920. Four of these iconic vehicles are part of the haloed Stellantis Heritage collection: the Lancia Stratos HF “Alitalia” (1974), the Lancia D50 F.1 (1954), the Lancia D25 (1954), and the Lancia ECV2 (1988).
However, all eyes were on the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF, which marks Lancia’s official return to the rally world and is equipped with a 212-HP, 1.2 Turbo engine, a SADEV 5-speed gearbox, adjustable Ohlin shock absorbers, Sparco-branded seats, belts and steering wheels. At the stand, the public not only had the chance to admire this extraordinary race car, which has already received 80 preorders in Europe, but could also find out more about the brand-new Lancia Trophy, which will debut in the Italian Absolute Rally Championship with six races across five dates.
