00:00I
00:02Read really briefly that you were gonna recreate a really important moment in your dad's life or life-changing moment
00:08Can you tell us about that? I have on Wednesday, February 26th on ABC
00:12I have a documentary coming out that I've been working on for a few years. No way
00:17it's
00:19Essentially, I don't know what I don't want to call it a sequel, but it's a reimagining of a documentary
00:24My dad did 30 years ago. It's the last thing he ever filmed before his accident
00:28Months before he went to this tiny island in Alaska and this remote lagoon in Mexico following gray whales
00:36And I wanted to go see what he had seen and be where he had been
00:40To learn a little bit more about a version of my dad that I didn't really get to know because he got injured
00:45I'm so young so I found the sons of the men who took him around in those places and had them as my guides
00:51No, it's called Will Reeve finding my father very excited about it
00:56Well, of course it was important but why specifically like what made you like, you know say hey
01:01I want to take those those same steps like walk those same paths
01:05Because my dad was injured when I was so young
01:08I didn't really get to experience the world with him the way that he had really wanted us to he was a man of action
01:14And adventure and I didn't really get that experience with him
01:18So I wanted to go to the places he had been
01:22Doing those adventurous things to see if I could connect to that version of him in a better way. Was it emotional?
01:28It was it was emotional. It was challenging. It was joyful. It was revelatory and
01:33It got me a lot of sky miles, too
