00:00And let's start with the player at the top of a lot of fans' minds there in Ashton Gente.
00:19Do you think that would be the right use of that pick at 12th?
00:25It's certainly debatable.
00:26I don't think that's the answer to that question is not a right or wrong answer.
00:32There's plenty of reasons why you can make the case that Ashton Gente should be the pick.
00:38And there's some ways that you can look at it from a different perspective and say, you
00:42know, we're better suited building up the roster at some of these other spots.
00:48And because this is a deep running back class, let's wait to the second round, third round,
00:52fourth round, and we still feel comfortable with the guy we're going to get at that point
00:57at the running back position.
00:59But you know, you're not going to feel regret drafting a talent like Ashton Gente at number
01:0412.
01:05You know, it's just he's so talented running the ball, catching the ball, blocking.
01:10He can do everything.
01:11It'll be interesting to see how he tests next week at the Combine.
01:15I don't think he's going to be some superstar Saquon Barkley necessarily, but he should
01:20test well.
01:21He should be, you know, what you would expect from a guy you're considering drafting in
01:25the first round.
01:26But, you know, above all, you know, the character is off the charts.
01:30This is a guy that you talk to the high school coaches, you talk to his college coaches.
01:35And I mean, he had all types of offers this past offseason to go play for a team in the
01:42SEC, a team in the Big Ten, you know, upwards of, we're talking hundreds of thousands of
01:47dollars that he turned down in order to go back to Boise State because that's the program
01:52that believed in him coming out of Lone Star High School.
01:55So there's a lot of reasons why you can look at Ashton Gente and say, man, this is a guy
02:00we want in our building, want on our roster, the way he can impact everybody around us.
02:05So I certainly think it's something that the Cowboys will be talking about extensively
02:10as they build that board.
