As a family of 5, how easy is it to travel to Disneyland Paris? We decided to use the Eurostar for the first time and had to navigate the French Metro system on Valentines night! We couldn't imagine it would be this busy or take so long 😂❤️
With 2 of the 3 kids falling asleep on the way, see how we got them to our first stop before a big day at Disneyland.
If you are watching for travel advice, we liked that we could take the bigger suitcase on the Eurostar. The process through security and passport was really easy. There wasn't a huge option for food so make sure you are prepared with snacks.
We highly recommend the Residhome Val d'Europe hotel for an easy option to be close to the park with bed and breakfast costing £230 per night for the 5 of us.
The metro system was complicated at first but we took the RER B line for 1 stop to Chatelet Les Halles, then around 40 mins on the RER A line which takes you all the way to the Disneyland Park. We got off 1 stop earlier at Val d'Europe for the hotel which is directly outside the station.
We all got a good night sleep and was ready to leave early to be at the Park as soon as it opened ❤️

00:10Logan? The most romantic place! On Valentine's Day! And guess what? We told you on the Valentine's Day video!
00:19yes so it's actually Valentine's Day today and we're off to Paris the most
00:25romantic city in the whole world so it's Friday it's the last day of term we've
00:31gone to collect Logan and Olivia half an hour early from school Holly finishes
00:38any minute now so she's coming and we are gonna jump on the train for the very
00:42first time using the Eurostar we've never done the Eurostar before have we?
00:46and we've never gone to Disneyland Paris. And we've never gone to Disneyland Paris!
00:50How is it as a family of five traveling to Paris on the Eurostar let me show you
01:00how we've packed for our trip we are going to Paris for two nights the first
01:06night we are staying in a hotel outside of Disney outside of Disneyland and the
01:12second night we are in a Disney hotel so we have tried to pack as neatly as we
01:18can we use the packing cubes from Primark didn't we I love packing cubes
01:21and we kind of organized it by days we know that the weather is gonna be zero
01:25degrees so very very chilly each child has a bag let me show you if you're new
01:30here we're the Pickett family please hit the subscribe button it's lovely to have
01:33you with us a scarf because it's super cold okay when we get off the train the
01:41Eurostar it's gonna be very late in Paris and probably very chilly
01:44hat gloves let's get to the exciting things please Liv my Polaroid camera
01:52yes we're gonna get a shot of you in front of the castle aren't we I do need
01:57my my Polaroid booklets and then I don't have to shove them down there Logan you
02:03gonna show us what's in your backpack yeah we've got school bags ready to be
02:10put away Liv's and lunchbox you might be noticing Sun Bunny oh we got that last
02:17Valentine's she's a whole year old today happy birthday Sun Bunny and actually
02:25weirdly I think this might be dad's hat no I bought it for you for this trip
02:31because it's extra warm okay this hat this scarf scarf hat no gloves apparently no
02:45there is no coat pocket I bought Logan and Libby both new coats for Paris
02:49because it's gonna be so cold Olivia's was a little bargain off Vinted I love a
02:55little Vinted bargain and Logan's was in the sale reduced to 20 pounds or
03:00something so we've got snacks for the train we've got our toiletries I've got
03:06all the medicines we might need because Holly's still suffering with a cold
03:10plasters because there's such a lot of walking and then in here we have got the
03:17Disney ears I've got a pair for each of us which one's Logan's which one's mine
03:22okay open up these ones are Logan's there's daddy's mummy's mummy's of course
03:37unicorn princess Libby's and then Holly's in here we have got the packing
03:45cubes with everyone's outfits for Saturday and Sunday teenager is home
03:49from school I decided that the shoes that she packed are in fact the shoes
03:55that she would like to wear and so suitcase needs to be opened
04:00Ugg boots need to be removed one Ugg a smushed Ugg I think the other might be
04:09in the other side good job I double-checked the train times because
04:12our train from where we live into London the train we was gonna get has been
04:17cancelled so we now need to get the earlier train because we get the later
04:22train we will not make the Eurostar in time you have to be there a whole 90
04:25minutes before to check in with your passport and stuff so we now have to get
04:30yeah because we're going out the country so we now have to get the earlier train
04:34we're gonna be in London way too early like just over two hours before our
04:39Eurostar but it does give us a bit of a chance to have some dinner or something
04:43I don't know I have no idea I've never been on the Eurostar I don't know I have
04:48no idea. Train number one. What did you say? It's a really fancy train. It's really fancy isn't it?
04:55I was just saying to Olivia. Oh hold on, hold that thought. Sorry about that.
05:01Oh it's literally like bumpy walls. They're all bouncy and stuff. That's the child prison for naughty
05:09children in there. Shut up. Go on what was you just saying? I was just saying
05:18that Libby just put her bag up there and do you remember when we left our bag?
05:22That was when the Three Halls chose our diet. It was cool. It was a good video
05:27that was fun. Yeah it was a good day. Yeah and we had to track the train
05:30on an app and he had to chase it down. That's like magic that was
05:37that was like you just couldn't write it. No because it got to the end and it was
05:42coming back. Yeah. So you had to get on that oh my goodness. I had to get on the same train
05:46and then just by pure luck I just walked on and I was like hi have you
05:51guys seen a bag? And they're like what are you talking about? And they're like do you
05:54mean that one up there? And I was like oh my god that's our bag. That's our bag. And then I picked you up
05:58at the next station. We've only done the first train which was 50 minutes and you
06:02already complained of being hungry so we've had to stop. We're not even on the
06:05underground yet and get snacks. We're only up Vauxhall. We've still got hours.
06:12I've just realised as well the hotel that we're staying in is near a Disneyland not
06:16Paris so. Ready? Oreo chocolate. Come on then let's go pay. It's just near Disneyland.
06:24So we've got another half an hour train after we get off the Eurostar which I didn't realise.
06:35Train number two.
06:38The next station is Pendicure. Doors will open on the right hand side.
06:44Logan we just came up out of St Pancras station and what did you say? Are we in Paris?
06:52Are we in Paris? Oh my gosh. I said no. Another train. And I look so sad. Look at all these roses for Valentine's Day though.
07:03I love it. Actually we've got one more. One more train to Paris but two more trains to our hotel. Yeah. Good. Yes.
07:14I'm just following you. I'm blindly following you. It's a bad idea. It's a real bad idea.
07:19Three more trains I think it might be. No. No. Travel sickness wise. Holly gets travel sickness in the car.
07:26So does Logan. Logan gets travel sick on a plane but Holly doesn't.
07:31Libby's fine. Doesn't get any travel sickness. We've never travelled by train before so I have got some travel sickness tablets just in case you two do feel poorly.
07:40But I don't think you will. I think we're on a track and it'll be nice and smooth.
07:44So we may or may not have got here too early but that is because our train was cancelled and we had no choice but to get the earlier one.
07:50So we knew we were going to be early but the gate to get in doesn't open for another 20 minutes.
07:56There is quite a big queue so I'm thinking we just grab something now from there's an M&S food right there.
08:02Oh. Oh yeah. I'm up for that. Do we just go and grab... I feel hungry.
08:07Should we just go and grab a drink? I don't know if it's like an airplane where you can't take the kit.
08:13I don't know. I have no idea. I literally have no idea. I don't know either. I have no idea.
08:18My most stressful trip to Marks and Spencer is known to mankind. The teeniest little shop is super duper busy.
08:25I just noticed you see like all the people walking around and they look so like flustered and like raging.
08:31I feel flustered. Yeah I'm not. I'm just looking at all these people thinking wow I really wish I... I'm glad I don't feel like that.
08:38We got some scotch eggs, some pots of fruit and some bottles of water. So that's going to have to tide us over.
08:44Hopefully the food on the Eurostar train is good. What do we reckon?
08:49No I don't know if this is going to be good at best. You're fussy. You don't like anywhere to eat.
08:53I feel like we'll be okay. For some reason I really really fancy like a Wagamama food.
08:58Oh like Japanese? Like noodles and rice and teriyaki and stuff. Yeah. Nice.
09:05How's the journey been so far?

15:08And we're now trying to find the metro to take us over towards Disneyland.

15:17The check in for the hotel has to be done before midnight.
15:20So we have one hour to get there.
15:23Don't really know where we're going.
15:26We've got to get tickets as well.
15:29And the Eurostar was 35 minutes delayed.
15:32So we're running late.
15:35So we're going to stop yapping and start walking.
15:38Metro is fun.

16:45I think we will try getting an aeroplane next time.

20:18With breakfast included.
20:21It came to £230.
20:24So to come here the night before means we are up and out early.
20:27And we can be at the Disney park nice and early.
20:30So we are just trying to pack up our bags.
20:33And get a handbag ready for today.
20:37We haven't got time to go and eat a breakfast.
20:40We are literally going to grab a croissant and get back on the metro line.
