00:13Filipino artists can help to expand their knowledge through their studies abroad.

00:21This is what was found at the Asian Cultural Council Auction 2025 in Leon Gallery Fine Arts and Antiques in Makati City.

00:31140 artworks were found at the auction.

00:35This includes the Dambana by Vicente Manansala,

00:38Family United by Ramon Orlina,

00:41A Standing Female Bulol from Ifugao,

00:44and many other works by Fernando Amorosolo.

00:48The starting bid was Php 100,000 for the cheapest artwork.

00:52While Php 18 million was the starting bid for the most expensive artwork.

00:58Every year when Leon Gallery handles the Asian Cultural Council Auction,

01:02it's considered the best auction of the year.

01:05So the best pieces come out, we get the best results also.

01:10Leon Gallery Fine Arts and Antiques has been doing auction for the benefit of Asian Cultural Council for 10 years.

01:17200 artists have been given grants or assistance.

01:22Every year, many applications are accepted by ACC.

01:27This year, there are already 90 applicants.

01:31Each applicant, each grant that we give costs us about between Php 30,000 to Php 60,000 a grant.

01:44So, depends on how much money we raise, particularly in this auction,

01:50that will determine the number of grants that we can give this year or next year.

01:55This is a big thing for the artists who are choosing to give grants for this activity.

02:03Their target this year is to give 6 grants from the applicants.
