00:00In order to fight malnutrition and crisis in the country, the Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD launched the first 1,000 Days or F1 KD of Life Program,
00:11a new cash grant under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
00:16Under this program, the four-piece households with children aged 0 to 2 years old will receive an additional 350 pesos.
00:27The program aims to ensure that children will receive the right nutrition and health services during their first 1,000 days.
00:36According to DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, the F1 KD is an investment for the future of children.
00:44But like other four-piece grants, it requires regular prenatal check-ups and care for babies,
00:51births in DOH-accredited health facilities, and postnatal check-ups, counseling sessions, and vaccination of children.
00:59At the start of the program, 50 beneficiaries already received their two-month cash grant from Quezon City, Bulacan, and Rizal.
01:09Meanwhile, 68,000 are being targeted as beneficiaries nationwide.
