00:00The Philippines and Palau strengthened the cooperation of the two countries
00:04following the visit of Palau President Sir Angel Whips Jr. to Malacanang today.
00:09Three agreements were signed by the Philippines and Palau
00:12along with the official visit to the country of Whips,
00:14including the cooperation in fishing,
00:17in the care of the rich seas,
00:20and in illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing.
00:23The diplomatic note for the study visit was also strengthened
00:26in exchange for the training institutions,
00:28research facilities of the Philippines.
00:31The Memorandum of Understanding on Policy Consultations was also signed,
00:35which establishes a mechanism for exchanging views
00:38on bilateral and regional cooperation.
00:41The bilateral meeting of the two leaders in the assistance of the Philippines and Palau
00:46in the face of the current geopolitical challenges,
00:49especially the threat of climate change, was also strengthened.
