00:00How proud are you of Britain and does that mean you would fight for your country if you
00:04were drafted? Well, according to new research, only 11% of Gen Z Brits have said they would
00:10fight for their country if they were asked. Furthermore, 41% of those polled actually
00:15said that under no circumstances would they take up arms to defend their country in war.
00:20This news comes as The Times and YouGov's study has shown that only 4 in 10 young Britons
00:26say they are proud of their country. This figure is less than half the figure that was
00:30recorded when similar research was conducted two decades ago. Now, interestingly, the survey
00:36went on to show that only 15% of Gen Z Brits believe that their country is united. As a
00:41matter of fact, half of these young people went on to say that they think Britain is
00:45a racist country. Recently, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has said that he is ready
00:50and willing to put UK troops on the ground in Ukraine to help guarantee its security
00:54as part of a peace deal. But what do you think? Would you be prepared to serve Britain in conflict?
