With concerns mounting over a potential conflict with Russia, if you were of an age to be called up, would you be prepared to serve our country - many young people say they would refuse - also what do you think about that situation?

00:00Oh now, that is a hard question, would I be prepared to save my country?
00:05I'd like to say yes, but I think if push came to shove, I'd probably be a bit of a coward.
00:13In terms of where I personally stand, it's a difficult one to call.
00:17I think that I would like to be involved in some way if I could help, even if it wasn't
00:21like on the front line because of my age, etc.
00:25You've got pride in your country, but then, especially in recent years, you think, well
00:29what has my government and my country done for me, and would I be willing, in a worst
00:33case scenario, to lay down my life for people who perhaps haven't looked after us as citizens
00:40of the United Kingdom perhaps as well as you would have thought.
00:42I think that sending people to die in any war is tragic.
00:46The Ukrainians, of course, suffered a miserable loss of life, but also the Russian families,
00:52you know, just the ordinary families who were conscripted to force them to go and fight.
00:57I'm sure they'd all rather be at home and living in peace.
