00:00You're first meeting in 23, we had Derek Holland on the show and Colby Lewis came on.
00:20I later talked to Michael Young and like, look, I haven't really wanted to play baseball
00:24since I retired.
00:25But that meeting, that first meeting with the team here is you're the manager of the
00:28Texas Ranger, was an awesome meeting according to those guys that were special assistants.
00:33Like, it was great.
00:34And I don't know how the meeting went last year and now this year is your third year.
00:38Do you have a different message being the first year manager than coming off of a World
00:42Series and now coming off of a year where you guys didn't play above .500 or?
00:46Yeah, yeah, you know, every message is probably a little different.
00:51You know, I talked a little bit about, you know, I told them about the team that, you
00:58know, I know that I knew about and this team was just loaded with incredible talent that
01:04was on a very important mission that was to win the World Series and that went on and
01:11on.
01:12And then I just said, you know, I guess you guys know I'm talking about us.
01:16And so, you know, we got to get back to who we are and, you know, for that to happen,
01:22you know, you talk about some things that we need to get better at, things we, you know,
01:27we need to work on.
01:28And, you know, how important these six weeks are.
01:31A lot of people look at, you know, spring training as can be long, but we need to look
01:35at these six weeks as we need this time to get to where we want to be when that bell
01:38rings.
01:39And so anyway, yeah, I, I try to, you know, vary, you know, change it up a little bit.
01:46But, you know, the biggest message is to let them know how good they are and how special,
01:52you know, that they can be and, and don't forget that because we, we got to hit the
01:57field with that swagger that we used to.
