00:00Over 1,400 individuals were arrested for violating the gun ban in line with the upcoming 2025
00:06midterm elections.
00:08According to the Commission on Elections for Kamalak, authorities are already able to confiscate
00:12around 2,000 guns and deadly weapons.
00:15The poll body also confirmed eight election-related violence incidents, including the shooting
00:20of Datu Piang Maguindanao del Sur Vice Mayor Omar Samama.
00:24Currently, there are 38 red category areas.
00:27Thirty-two are in the Bangsamato Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao or Barm, and six
00:32are in Luzon and the Visayas.
