00:00Starting today, the implementation of the maximum suggested retail price of pork in the markets in Metro Manila will begin.

00:26The Department of Agriculture issued the maximum suggested retail price of pork,
00:31P350 per kilo of MSRP for pork shoulder or kasim, while P380 per month for pork belly or liempo.
00:39This is already effective starting today.
00:42According to the pork sellers in Mega Q Mart, the price of pork they are purchasing is already halving to P10 to P20.
00:50Before, the price of pork shoulder and pork belly was higher. Now, it is P10 lower.
00:58What we got from them is a whole pig's head. Our pig's head is P305.
01:04It is only now that the price of pig's head is P305. Before, it was P320, now it is P325.
01:09Even though the price of pig's head is lower, the maximum suggested retail price of pork should be P300 per kilo for pig's head or the price from trader to retailer.
01:18According to the Department of Agriculture, they will conduct a periodic review for a month from the implementation of pork MSRP.
01:25The DA will also review the DTI and PNP so that the following markets can be assured of the correct price of pork.
01:32Even though the pork MSRP was only implemented in Metro Manila, the DA is also studying the cost structure in other regions so that pork MSRP can also be issued.
