00:19Angelique, the Department of Agriculture and National Food Authority will be able to release the cheap NFA rice next week.

00:30According to Agriculture Secretary Francisco T. Laurel Jr.,

00:36the 50 local governments announced that they will buy cheap rice from the NFA.

00:43The agency and local governments are now working on the process

00:47to allow consumers to taste the cheap NFA rice.

00:53The National Food Security Emergency was recently declared.

00:58The NFA will sell cheap rice.

01:01Its goal is to lower the price and expand the NFA warehouses

01:06to accommodate the needs of the local farmers.

01:11President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. is also focusing on the price of pork.

01:18Before the end of February, the maximum suggested retail price for pork is possible to be released.

01:25The price of pork is now increasing from P345 to P480 per kilo.

01:31Mr. Laurel said that the price will not exceed P400.

01:36The agency is also focusing on the fight against smuggling.

01:40Today, the NFA released 16 importers under the blacklist.

01:47That means, Angelique, that they will not be able to import agricultural products.

01:52Four of them were fined by the NFA.
