00:00Good morning. Well, we've got a much colder week ahead with the return of overnight frost
00:06and perhaps some icy stretches. Taking a look at the bigger picture, then we have a cold
00:10front that will sink its way southwards and behind that introducing much colder air from
00:15the Arctic. So this will sink its way southwards Monday, but eventually reaching all of us
00:20as we go through Tuesday. So like I said, the return of overnight frosts and some icy
00:26stretches in places. So a bit of a shock to the system. But through the rest of this
00:31morning then is a murky picture across eastern coast with har and sea fret and this band
00:36of rain that could be wintry over the hills of Scotland. That will eventually sink its
00:40way southwards into northern England, but eventually just easing to give just a few
00:46spots of rain behind that across Scotland actually turning much brighter with plenty
00:52of sunny spells, but also some frequent showers down that east coast. And you'll notice the
00:57winds coming down from a northerly direction. So turning colder here across much of southern
01:02parts of England, a cloudier picture compared to recent days. There'll be some brighter
01:06interludes underneath this cloud across the south, perhaps just bringing a few spots of
01:11rain. We still hold on to the milder temperatures, though, towards the south. So highs of up
01:17to 14 or 15 degrees, so perhaps just slightly cooler than recent days. But a contrast compared
01:23to the north with temperatures struggling here now around six or eight degrees. So actually
01:28generally closer to the seasonal average, but factor in the wind turning even colder
01:34than that, too. So as we go through Monday evening, then this blanket of cloud across
01:39northern parts of England will continue to sink its way southwards, bringing a few patches
01:43of rain across parts of Wales. But behind that, a lot of clear skies developing and
01:49that will allow temperatures to quickly fall away. So Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland,
01:53temperatures quickly falling to give a frost, but also perhaps some icy stretches and holding
01:59on to some showers along that eastern coast. So a cold night to come here, especially underneath
02:05the lengthiest clear skies, but underneath the cloud generally still staying frost free
02:09in the south. So to start Tuesday morning, then it's a bright but cold start across Northern
02:15Ireland and parts of Scotland and northern England will see frequent showers then moving
02:21in across coastal areas and northern parts of Scotland. Elsewhere, that cloud gradually
02:26starts sinking its way further southwards to bring a largely drier picture to end Tuesday
02:32with a mixture of bright or sunny spells. But as for temperatures, well, they'll be
02:38dropping much closer to average. So now ranging from six to up to nine degrees in the south.
