00:00What did you think of the extension they gave Allen in Buffalo, and they just got in Palmer a few minutes ago another receiver.
00:09I like it, Scott. You know, you got to stay ahead of the curve. You and I have talked about this in the past. It's the one thing that doesn't, you know, it does and it doesn't, but everybody doesn't have to be the highest paid player in the National Football League.
00:21Right? You see right now, Miles Garrett, Scott, as good as he is, what has he done for the Cleveland Browns? You just made him the highest non-player. He doesn't want to be there. You guys suck, right?
00:31So, you can sign these big-time players and give them money. Is it going to help your football team? I think the Browns would have been better off trading Miles Garrett and just rebuilding and stockpiling picks and players and shake things up because it's not working what they do.
00:46But I love what the Bills did, Scott. You got stiff quarterbacks making $45-$50 million a year now. Right? So, stay ahead of the curve. In two years, quarterbacks could be making $70 million. You always stay ahead of it, like the Eagles did with Saquon Barkley.
01:01Don't let the contract get in the last couple of years. Don't let it get in the last year. Keep your players happy. Stay ahead of the curve. Josh Allen is the Buffalo Bill, so I don't have a problem with it, Scott.
01:13I'll tell you what, whatever it works out to, I think it's $59 million a year now, whatever. It'll be a bargain in two years. It's a bargain now. But, dude, everybody gets paid. Trevor Lawrence is making $50 million a year.
01:29So, is Josh not worth $60 million right now? I like the move for the Bills, Scott. The Bills, listen, man, to me, the Bills, they need to add on the defensive side of the ball. Right? They score 30 points a game, bro. The Bills have never lost a playoff game because they can't score.
01:45Forget about the Jacksonville game seven years ago, whatever. You know what I'm saying? The Bills' offense isn't a problem. I don't care who the wide receivers are. Josh Allen's going to move the football. They're going to put points up on the board. They've got to get defensive backs. They've got to get defensive linemen. They've got to attack the defense, but there's really no one out there. It's up to the Bills. It's sort of like the Leafs, Scott, the Toronto Maple Leafs with the Bills.
02:07People are all, what are the Leafs going to do with the deadline? What more do you want them to do? Like, what can they do? Right? You've got Nylander. You've got Tavares. You've got Mitch Marner. You've got Auston Matthews. Well, you want Bobby Orr? You want Bobby Orr to come out of retirement? At some point? Yeah, Paul Coffey? Like, you know what I mean? Well, you know, they've got to add something. It's like, listen, guys, at some point, the guys in the room got to win. It's like the Bills. At some point, the guys in the room got to win.
02:33Bruce Smith ain't walking through the door, guys, in his prime. All right? It just is what it is.
02:38How about the Milton Williams? One minute, you thought he was going to Carolina, and he ends up, I guess, with the Patriots, the guy from the Eagles.
02:48Patriots are trying to be aggressive to rebuild this thing, Scott. I'm really curious to see what the Patriots are going to do in the draft. Right? There's so much talk about, oh, it's not a great draft, but you look at the top of the board, and there's some interesting options.
03:01If you're the Patriots, you're going to have the fourth pick. Right? You could have a choice of Travis Hunter, of McMillan from Arizona, the wide receiver, of Mason Graham from Michigan.
03:14The Patriots are in a nice spot right now, Scott, moving forward. I like Drake May. I think he's a really good quarterback. They're a couple of years away still, but I think the Patriots will be open for business once again.
03:27I wonder about Kraft, though. I think maybe Kraft's greatness as an owner was sort of bolstered by the fact he had Tom Brady.
03:35I think everything that they had there was bolstered by Brady. Josh Swett also got paid. He's out of Philly. He goes to Arizona on a four-year deal, $76 million-plus and $41 million guaranteed. Rosenhaus did the deal. He did a lot of deals today. What an agent he is.
03:54Interesting. You got that Philadelphia-Arizona connection, right? The head coach of the Arizona Cardinals was the defensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles.
