00:00After more than a decade, he was caught by the police in Valenzuela, the man who was accused of raping a minor in Masbate.

00:14The man was arrested.

00:16James Agustin has the first news.

00:19A bus was about to pass by the man, a senior citizen, when he was stopped by the police in this part of Barangay Paso de Blas in Valenzuela City.

00:31The 74-year-old man was the subject of an arrest warrant for the case of Rape in Relation to Republic Act 7610 or Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

00:44According to the police, the man hid for more than 13 years.

00:48Maybe he was just hiding somewhere in Bicol.

00:51But then, they got a tip from us that the accused was in Manila.

00:56Then, someone gave him somewhere in Valenzuela.

01:00So, our operatives in the warrant section immediately contacted the Masbate Police Station.

01:09The court released the arrest warrant on December 2011.

01:13The crime happened in the town of Cataingan in Masbate.

01:17The 16-year-old victim was the niece of the accused's wife.

01:22The accused was a seller.

01:25He always raped children.

01:28So, maybe that's the time he got an opportunity.

01:32The accused is currently in jail in Valenzuela City Police Station.

01:35His gate, he didn't commit the crime.

01:38He didn't do it.

01:41Why did you get arrested?

01:44As you can see, some of the cases, they are all lies.

01:52The accused was on a trip to Masbate for his return of warrants.
