00:00And a man in Antipolo City was arrested because of a rape case against his minor child.

00:07He was accused of being rude and petty. He said he was just doing his job because of his income.

00:13EJ Gomez has the first news.

00:18This 35-year-old man, who is on the most wanted persons list of Antipolo City, was in a cell.

00:26He was arrested because of a rape case against his minor child.

00:38According to the police, the rape happened last October to a 14-year-old victim.

00:44The first rape happened to this child on October 3, 2024 in their own house.

00:56It was followed by the rape on October 4.

01:00But on that occasion, the victim felt that the rapist would do it again.

01:10So he pushed the victim out and asked for help.

01:18The authorities immediately complained to the Dalaguita Police Station.

01:22He couldn't believe that he was facing a case like this.

01:28Maybe he didn't think that his mother or his living partner would sue him.

01:39The perpetrator was denied by the accused.

01:43I didn't touch the child. We were just next to each other in the room.

01:46I was really angry that day because he was pushing me out.

01:50I told him, don't go out. You're a woman.

01:53He even insisted that his son's aunt make a story to get the money for the child's sustenance

01:59that was being sent by the victim's mother who works abroad.

02:03The reason for that was money.

02:05I just got an alibi to send the child's sustenance to her.

02:12We will do our best to get the testimony of the victim's aunt and mother.

02:16The accused is being held in the custodial facility of Antipolo City Police.

02:21His case is a qualified rape and attempted qualified rape.

02:28This is a no bail recommendation.
