00:00The Department of Energy or DOE urged all LPG industry players to comply with the LPG Industry Regulation Act
00:08to avoid administrator and criminal penalties.
00:12According to the DOE, in a statement on Monday,
00:15the punishment will be up to Php 100,000 for each item that does not comply with the regulation of the law
00:21and will be imprisoned for up to 12 years.
00:24The DOE assured that these punishments are to protect consumers from possible incidents
00:31such as the explosion of LPG.
00:34It also protects the integrity of the LPG industry sector
00:37if it complies with the law.
00:39Meanwhile, almost 7,000 LPG players are registered across the country.
