00:00The stock market plunged yesterday, it's going down again today, part of the reason is because
00:07of President Trump's policies on tariffs, including the ones that were just introduced
00:11this morning.
00:12Can you comment here, does Trump need to rethink what he is doing, given the chaos that we're
00:18seeing in the stock market?
00:19This is how I feel about it, many of us feel about it.
00:22The President has already proven what he can do on the economy.
00:25This is not theoretical.
00:26Look at the first term of the Trump administration, prior to COVID, we've talked about this many
00:31times in here.
00:32At the first two years of the Trump administration, we had the greatest economy in the history
00:35of the world, not just the U.S.
00:37Go check it.
00:38We had every demographic was doing better, all votes were rising, we had a thriving U.S.
00:44economy, we were booming, and that's because of the policies and the strategy that President
00:49Trump led and delivered.
00:51We've cut taxes, we've cut regulations, we've let people keep more money in their pockets,
00:56and we've made America the first great world.
00:58That is what he's doing here.
01:00Now, he's got to reshape and shape things, because it's in a real mess.
01:04The last four years was a disaster in economic policy and every other measure of public policy.
01:09So, what President Trump is doing, I think of it sort of like when you're playing billiards,
01:13you're playing pool, right?
01:15You go on the table and the balls are racked, right?
01:17And you hit it as hard as you can.
01:18This is the many people strategy of the game.
01:20You hit it as hard as you can to break up the balls on the table and send them straight.
01:24Then, you play the strategy of safer than the balls, right?
01:27That's what we're doing right now.
01:29It is a shake-up.
01:30And he said it was going to be a shake-up right now, but this is what's required in
01:34my mind to start the process of repairing and restoring the American economy.
01:39I believe that the strategy is going to work.
01:41I believe that, you know, sometimes when you shake up, it's a violent thing on the table,
01:46right?
01:47In the game metaphor.
01:48But it always works out well in the end, and I think you've got to give it time.
01:51He's been in office for just over, what, 50 days?
01:53This is the 51st day in office.
01:55Give the president a chance to have these policy discussions.
