00:00Good afternoon from Bodemont Heath where Uno Emery has conducted his press
00:04conference ahead of Wednesday night's Champions League last-16 second leg
00:09against Club Brugge. Villa go into the into into the match with a 3-1 lead
00:14after their win in Belgium last week and they are odds on favourites to make it through to the quarter-final but Uno Emery today
00:21warning that anything can happen. He says that Villa have prepared for every
00:25possibility including a penalty shootout. The manager is clearly stressing that the tie is not over.
00:34We also heard from Matty Cash right back who was one of the players who came off the bench last week in Brugge.
00:41One of four players brought on in the 64th minute when the game was tied at 1-1.
00:45Villa end up winning 3-1. Cash winning the penalty that was scored by Marco Asensio.
00:49Cash said look Uno Emery only knows one way and that's to win so it doesn't
00:54sound like there's much chance of Villa sitting back on their 3-1 lead tomorrow.
00:58They'll go out and try and win the game and not be too defensive.
01:04On the injury fronts, well there's good news for Villa. Asensio and Emi Martinez both of whom missed Saturday's 1-0 win at Brentford with muscle pain.
01:14They're both available. They trained this morning as did Amadou Anana.
01:18Now he's been out for over a month with a calf problem but the record signing looks like he's going to be in the squad.
01:23It just leaves Ross Barkley who's unavailable along with Daniel Marlon and Andres Garcia who are not part of this Champions League squad.
01:30But after all the injury concerns of the last few months and all the disruption it does feel like Villa have pretty much got their full squad available now.
01:38Heading up to a big finish to the season. They're big favourites to progress. You can never rule anything out in the Champions League.
01:45Only once before in the competition's history have a team come from two goals down after losing the first leg at home to win and go through the tie.
01:53And that was Manchester United against Paris Saint-Germain in 2019.
01:56So the odds are all in Villa's favour. History's in Villa's favour.
02:00And they've got a great record at home having won 9 out of 11 European games under Emery.
02:05So it's all set up for them. We'll see how things go tomorrow.
