00:00WNBA superstar and Olympic gold medalist Sabrina Ionescu is proud of the love of Filipinos in the sport of basketball.

00:09Meanwhile, the New York Liberty Guard also played some of the most famous names in the Philippine basketball scene.

00:16Let's take a look at what happened on the second day of the Sabrina Manila Tour with teammate Rafael Bandaire.

00:24It is no secret that basketball has a deep connection to the culture and tradition of the Philippines.

00:33That's why for a basketball superstar like Sabrina Ionescu,

00:40it is really an important experience to witness the love of Filipinos in this sport.

00:53The fans have shown how nice everyone is, the food's amazing, the weather's been good so far.

00:59So, you know, I would say just being able to be here in person and take it all in has been the most exciting part.

01:06And obviously the fan love and support is kind of like none other.

01:10So it's been really fun to see that firsthand and kind of be able to give back to the community here.

01:16Sabrina is currently in the country as part of her Asian Tour, the mission of the 27-year-old point guard of New York Liberty.

01:26It's not surprising that Filipino basketball fans are cheering for her.

01:31If not, to make the popularity of women's basketball even greater.

01:38Even though she has come a long way, she still has a long way to go.

01:42That's why Sabrina promised to continue this goal.

01:47I mean, I think you can't settle.

01:49And obviously we're at the point where we're at in women's sports and basketball, but we're far kind of, you know, to where we want to go.

01:57There's still so much more that we want to accomplish and continuing to fight for equality

02:03and continuing to grow the game in different areas aside from the United States.

02:07So for us, it's kind of that understanding of enjoying the moment where you're at right now,

02:11but not being satisfied with just that and wanting to continue to get better.

02:15This Tuesday night, Sabrina played in an exhibition game with some of the most eye-catching stars in the Philippine basketball scene.

02:27The WNBA champion and Olympic gold medalist did not miss out on a 4-point line from an original Filipino innovation.

02:36The silencer also made it to the 3-point shootout, where he faced some of the most eye-catching shooters in the country.

02:46After the game, UNESCO also experienced the Philippine basketball tradition of Lusutan after winning its competition.

02:56Meanwhile, today Sabrina will visit a barangay in Bulacan for a court unveiling

03:02and to share joy and gifts to the residents there before she heads to the next destination of her tour of Asia.
