00:00The Department of Agriculture continues to assist farmers in Palawan.
00:04The DA gave a fertilizer discount voucher to 12,296 farmers in the province.

00:18According to the Department of Agriculture-Mimaropa,
00:23the fertilizer discount voucher or FDV was received by the Department of Agriculture-Mimaropa.
00:30The FDV beneficiaries are from the towns of Broxpoint, Quezon, Aborlan, Sofronio Española,
00:39Nara, Batarasa, and Puerto Princesa.
00:42The total value of the voucher is estimated at Php 60.4 million.
00:48According to the information distributed by the Rice Program of the DA-Mimaropa,
00:52each voucher is worth Php 3,400 per hectare that can be used by farmers
00:59to buy rice from the accredited merchants of the province.
01:03The program aims to help farmers improve their crops
01:08and strengthen the production of rice in the region.
01:10One of the barangay officials, Olivia I. Inano of Barangay Kamuning in Puerto Princesa,
01:16thanked the recipients of the FDV voucher because it is a great help to their crops.
01:22Nara Farmers Association President Wilma Atiga said
01:26that the DA-Mimaropa's discount voucher is a great help to their crops,
01:32especially that they are affected by the widespread flooding
01:36that is why she thanked the DA-Mimaropa.
01:39The DA-Mimaropa will continue to strive to reach more beneficiaries
01:45and strengthen the agriculture sector in Palawan and the entire region.
