00:07Virtu Trophy final against Peterborough United set to be played at Wembley Stadium on Sunday
00:12April the 13th with kick-off scheduled for 3pm. Blues have been allocated a generous
00:19total of 36,000 tickets including spaces for wheelchair users and personal assistants in
00:25the west end of Wembley. This figure is over 10,000 tickets more than Peterborough United's
00:32smaller allocation in the east end highlighting the difference in expected fan turnout. This
00:39final marks Birmingham's first trip to Wembley since their memorable 2011 League Cup victory
00:45over Arsenal and supporters have been eagerly waiting for a chance to return. Although the
00:51Virtu Trophy may not carry the same weight as the League Cup it's still a chance to claim
00:56silverware something Chris Davis's side has worked hard for winning six of their last seven
01:02matches on the road to the final. However some controversy has surrounded the ticket allocations
01:10Peterborough chairman Darragh McAntony recently revealed that Birmingham have asked for even more
01:17tickets believing they could sell out a larger allocation. He's also admitted it's probably the
01:23pinnacle of his career he's been to Wembley many times he's been promoted in the playoffs
01:27with Swansea he's been won the FA Cup with Leicester City both as an assistant he went
01:33there with Liverpool in the semi-final of the FA Cup against Aston Villa about a decade or so ago
01:37so he knows what it's like but being a manager it just gives that extra feeling for him so he's got
01:43the excitement and I think the whole squad as well just having that extra focus this season
01:47not the league one's easy but you'd always expect them to go and win that to have something like a
01:52domestic competition it might not be one of the biggest like the FA Cup or the the Carabao Cup
01:57but it does have that extra layer. Ticket prices start at £20 for adults and go up to £60
02:04with discounts for concessions young adults and juniors. Booking fees apply and tickets will be
02:10sold on a first-come first-served basis.
