00:37Cigarettes will kill two thirds of the people who smoke, so we know that cigarettes cause our communities a lot of ill health, poor health and early death.
00:52To launch the campaign, Liverpool's iconic St John's Beacon has been temporarily transformed into a 480-foot cigarette, serving as a powerful visual symbol of the harmful effects of smoking.

01:32And that might come through ways like the services we have in local support, might be using nicotine replacement therapies, medications.
01:41Reach out to the support that's out there. It's free and our brilliant services can help people to give up smoking.

02:39There's broad public and cross-party support for the measures in the bill, which will radically reduce smoking-related deaths and disease by ending smoking for the next generation.
