00:00Let's now go to the ACC here, recap the games yesterday, controversial ending on a foul with
00:04Notre Dame beating Pittsburgh in a low scoring game 55 to 54. And then the opposite with Cal
00:10and Virginia Tech, they go to three overtimes and Cal wins 82 to 73. And then the Leonard Hamilton
00:15era in Florida State comes to a thud, Syracuse beats FSU 66 to 62. Any shot, Notre Dame, Cal,
00:24Syracuse move on from this point? Well, in the ACC, the opposition in the next round,
00:31with the exception of a few teams is not as daunting as it is in the Big 12 or Big 10 or
00:36SEC. So there are opportunities for some of those teams to perhaps advance another round.
00:42Pitt was a team that had a very disappointing season, and I'm sure was absolutely heartbroken
00:47by how that ended. They did not play very well on Tuesday to be in a game with Notre Dame at
00:54that point on a neutral floor. That should not been where this Pitt team was. They shouldn't
00:58have been in a 12-13 game to begin with, and then they shouldn't have been in a game in that 12-13
01:04game. But they played just poorly enough to be beaten by a bad call and a successful free throw.
01:09I think the interesting thing to watch as the ACC tournament develops is what happens with North
01:16Carolina. They're the team that is sort of waiting for someone to fall out of the field for just
01:22about everybody who does brackets, as I do for Fox Sports, has North Carolina as the next team out.
01:30The team that's in front of them, Xavier, has a really good team, but not having the best year
01:36in terms of results. They have an opportunity against Marquette in their quarterfinals.
01:41That'll be a huge game in the Big East on Thursday. So that's the real tussle there,
01:47is what can Carolina do, what can they get done, and then what does those teams
01:53in front of them, particularly Xavier, do in their tournament games.
